With business immigration compliance matters, we assist clients with I-9 compliance audits, government workplace enforcement actions, and strategic policies to help clients avoid employer fines, penalties, and criminal sanctions. We also assist clients with business strategies for foreign national employees. We regularly work with clients undergoing due diligence in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate changes to assist them with issues related to the work authorization of their existing and potential employees.

HR Innovators assists clients with general employment matters with a focus on internal investigations, policies and programs essential to litigation avoidance, including the review and revision of employment policies and training programs for managers and human resources personnel in risk areas such as sexual harassment and disability accommodation requirements. We assist clients with risk management in all areas of employment, including discrimination based on sex, age, race, disability, and national origin; executive contract disputes; employee background checks; risks associated with the hiring of employees subject to restrictive covenants; employee disciplinary matters; FMLA and ADA issues; reasonable accommodation for religious practices; employee terminations; ERISA disputes; and, trade secret and non-competition matters.

HR Innovators also assists clients with policies and practices to protect personal and sensitive data (such as e-mail, Web usage, and telephone rules). We help clients minimize the risks associated with monitoring employees and testing them for illegal substances. We help clients with privacy issues such as the security of information during termination, the employee information that can be shared during or after employment, and the retention of employment records. In addition, we help clients with potential HIPAA issues related to employer-sponsored health plans and to medical information requested for FMLA and ADA issues.
